Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
— Robert Collier

Living in the Seattle area in this day and age can be tough.  If you're feeling sad, anxious, or are simply confused about your direction in life, individual therapy may be appropriate for you.

As a therapist, I believe that individual counseling is most effective when the client and therapist have developed a trusting relationship with each other.  That relationship will help become the basis for leading you down the path to improvement.  Your situation is not hopeless; you are not broken, and together we can help you to understand the strengths that you have to overcome your hardships.  We will work on developing tools together that will help you overcome your situation as well as sharpening your own understanding of yourself.  You have the strength to overcome what you are facing. We will work together to identify where that strength is.

With individuals I will often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, which may involve some homework.  I like to give my clients warning in advance; this work is not easy.  Making change is hard and will require hard work, but I know that we can do it together.
